Adelaide ABL young guns Rixon Wingrove and Jordan McArdle headline a strong lineup, which includes experienced campaigners Jeremy Cresswell and Josh Cakebread.

Jordy Grose’s strong start and a stunning late offensive blitz lifted Henley & Grange to its first win of the South Australian Baseball League on Sunday.
Grose tossed 6 2/3 scoreless innings and the Rams broke a scoreless deadlock in the fifth ahead of piling on 11 late runs to seal a 14-3 win over Golden Grove Central Districts at West Lakes Sports & Social Club.

Sam Kennelly homered twice and finished with six RBIs in an 11-1 win for Braves over Swan Districts in the WA State League 1 on Sunday.
Kennelly launched a grand slam in the second to make it 6-0 and capped the Braves big offensive afternoon at Winnacott Reserve with a two-run shot in the fifth.

Wade Dutton’s late two-run homer propelled Redcliffe Red to a 4-2 Greater Brisbane League win over Windsor at Holloway Field on Sunday.
Dutton went deep after Carter Bell kept the inning alive with a two-out single and Jay Myers added a ninth-inning insurance run as the Padres improved their record to 3-1.

Jack Wagener’s two-out single in the bottom of the ninth lifted Mudgeeraba to its first win of the Greater Brisbane League season at Firth Park on Friday night.
Wagener delivered to bring in Ahren Baxter, who started the half-inning on second with tiebreak rules in play, as Mudgeeraba denied a late Carina comeback to walk off 8-7 in a battle of the Redsox.

The 28-year-old catcher has played 220 regular-season games and was part of the Bandits’ four-peat from 2016-2019.

In the span of eight years since returning to baseball he has become Baseball Association Townsville president and taken on more than a few other caps from Little League coach to groundskeeping.

Baseball Australia chief executive Cam Vale has opened up on the challenges of finalising the International Conference and flagged how the new-look model could shape – and strengthen – the Australian Baseball League into the future.
Speaking on the latest baseball.com.au podcast the league’s boss said up to five locations were in the mix to host International Conference action, which will include four six-day blocks of broadcast-friendly doubleheaders with some timeslots aimed at overseas markets.
