Brisbane has named an experienced roster ahead of its Australian Baseball League season opening at Viticon Stadium tomorrow.
The Bandits’ 24-man squad includes five Milwaukee prospects, new recruits Aaron Brown, Masaru Nakamura, Bligh Madris and Jared Walker along with returning duo Johnny Field and Riley Unroe to support a strong Australian core.

Jack Wagener’s two-out single in the bottom of the ninth lifted Mudgeeraba to its first win of the Greater Brisbane League season at Firth Park on Friday night.
Wagener delivered to bring in Ahren Baxter, who started the half-inning on second with tiebreak rules in play, as Mudgeeraba denied a late Carina comeback to walk off 8-7 in a battle of the Redsox.

Four-time Australian Baseball League champion Ryan Battaglia will be part of Brisbane’s 2020/21 campaign.
The 28-year-old catcher has played 220 regular-season games and was part of the Bandits’ four-peat from 2016-2019.

Brisbane has re-signed 200-game catcher Ryan Battaglia ahead of its pursuit of a fifth-straight Australian Baseball League title getting underway in November.
The 27-year-old Queenslander played 27 games for the Bandits last season, hitting .241 with three homers and 14 RBI.
