Riley Watson singled ahead of Nick Chappell and Jacob Younis walking to load the bases before Shepherd delivered to give the Kookaburras a 4-3 win over Macarthur at Blacktown International Sportspark.

Darwin-born Wilson Lee has been named the German Bundesliga’s North Division MVP following an outstanding season for Bonn Capitals.
Lee hit .551 and led the Bundesliga North with seven homers and 23 RBIs.

Workers racked up 13 hits and did not allow a run until the fifth inning of an 11-1 win over Macarthur at Gilchrist Oval, snapping a run of two-straight ties.

The opening games of next year’s Women’s Showcase have been locked in with Brisbane’s Viticon Stadium set to stage history on January 8.
The country’s top female players will go head-to-head in a doubleheader in Brisbane ahead of facing off again in Adelaide on January 17, as announced last month.

Baseball Queensland has announced details of its National Showcase Series, finalising the full slate for next January’s Australian Youth Championship replacement content.
Following the cancellation of the 2021 Australian Youth Championship the localised National Showcase Series content will provide an opportunity for U-16 and U-18 talent to go head-to-head and be profiled to ensure exposure to scouts.

Coomera put an end to its 12-game Greater Brisbane League losing streak on Sunday, surviving a late scare to hold off Surfers Paradise 8-7 at Gambamora Park.
An error in the top of the ninth allowed two runs to score for Surfers and bring the gap to one ahead of Frank Vilacha’s seventh strikeout sealing a third win of the season for the Cubs.

Pittsburgh prospect Brandan Bidois will front for Brisbane during the 2020/21 Australian Baseball League season.
The 19-year-old Queenslander made his ABL debut with the Bandits as an infielder two seasons ago but since signed with the Pirates as a pitcher following a strong showing at the 2019 WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup for Boral Team Australia.

Pine Hills moved to the top of the Greater Brisbane League standings on Friday night after downing Ipswich behind an impressive complete game from starter Jeremy Atkinson.
Atkinson struck out 12 across eight innings and surrendered only two unearned runs on five hits in a 9-2 win at James Drysdale Reserve.
