Heat keep alive hopes of avoiding ABLWC

Perth remains to chance to avoid the sudden-death ABL Wildcard Game after levelling its series against Melbourne with an 8-2 win at Perth Harley-Davidson Ballpark on Friday night.

The Heat fell behind early but recovered and rode five-run fifth to the first of three wins they need to end the regular season if they are to bypass Tuesday’s loser-goes-home contest.

Blowout win keeps Bandits' playoff hopes alive

Five scoreless innings from Ryan Bollinger and an early two-run blast from David Sutherland helped propel Brisbane to a game one win, 10-0, over Auckland at Tuatara Park.

The win leaves the Tuatara still one win shy of clinching a playoff spot and keeps the Bandits in the hunt, moving them to within 1.5 games of Auckland and one behind Canberra – who defeated Sydney – with three to play.
