Bianca Smith tossed a gem and Glenelg Tigers scored seven early runs to seal their spot in the 2022 South Australian Women’s League grand final on Sunday.
Smith struck out five in six two-hit innings to help the Tigers overcome Southern Districts Hawks 7-0 and set up a grand final against Sturt Saints next weekend.

Sturt Saints are first through to the March 27 South Australian Women’s Baseball League grand final following a qualifying final win over Southern Districts Hawks on Sunday.
The Saints scored the opening six runs of the contest at Norman Reserve and denied a late comeback bid from the Hawks to secure a 10-3 win.

South Australian Women’s League minor premiers Sturt Saints closed out the regular-season with a 10-4 win over Southern Districts Hawks at Peregrine Park on Sunday in a qualifying final preview.
Georgia Davis and Claire Warburton drove in two runs each and Gemma Letton struck out five in a pair of scoreless relief innings as the Saints finished the regular campaign with a 15-1 record.

Woodville Senators have snapped their nine-game losing streak with a 12-3 victory over East Torrens Redsox in South Australian Women’s League action on Sunday.
Senators starter Darna Veer turned in an excellent performance on the mound allowing just two unearned runs in four innings as Woodville claimed a victory.

East Torrens Redsox have kept their top six chances alive in the South Australian State League after defeating Glenelg Tigers 6-2 on Saturday afternoon.
Charlie Ashcroft was the star for the Redsox claiming the win throwing six innings of one run ball as well as hitting a two-run home run.

It took 11 innings but Golden Grove Central Districts Dodgers prevailed over Port Adelaide Magpies in a wild South Australian State League clash on Saturday afternoon.
The teams were locked at zero through ten innings before the Dodgers broke through in the top half of the 11th before hanging on in the bottom half.

Southern Districts Hawks have cemented themselves into the South Australian State League finals places after holding off Sturt Saints 7-6 at Peregrine Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Hawks raced out to a 7-1 lead thanks to three run homers from Brett Hattersley and Andre Benjamin before hanging on as the Saints rallied late in the contest.

A five run third inning was the catalyst for the Hawks who overcame an early deficit to claim their fourth win of the season.

The Cardinals picked up their eighth win of the season behind seven scoreless innings from Riley Moore who slowed down a Tigers team that entered the clash having won three of its last four.

Eight players had RBIs for Glenelg who scored five runs in each of the first four innings on route to their big victory.
