Southern Seahawks used a late rally to claim game one before improving their unbeaten start to the Super League Baseball Adelaide season to four games in a doubleheader at West Beach on Wednesday night.
Back-to-back homers from Mitch Lightbody and Riley Moore lifted the Seahawks to a walk-off 7-6 win over the Western Rays in game one before a more comfortable 10-2 victory completed a doubleheader sweep and improved their record to 4-0.

Two-time Helms Award winner Tim Kennelly has re-signed with Perth and will front for an 11th Australian Baseball League season.
Kennelly, 33, passed 300 games in the modern-day ABL last season and claimed the Helms in 2012 and 2019.

A two-run sixth and late insurance homer from Mookie Betts lifted the Dodgers to a 3-1 win over Tampa Bay in game six of the 2020 World Series at Globe Life Field.

Sturt’s Jackson Brebner-Russ will start on the mound for Southern Seahawks when they look to extend their two-game winning streak to begin the Super League Baseball Adelaide season at West Beach tonight.
Brebner-Russ will make a second start for the Seahawks in game one of a doubleheader against the Western Rays, going head-to-head with Adelaide ABL recruit Mitch Neunborn.

Australia’s 22nd Major Leaguer Peter Moylan will serve as a full-time pitching coach with Melbourne in the upcoming Australian Baseball League season.
Moylan will join new manager Allan de San Miguel’s staff in a full-time capacity after filling a player-coach role last season as the Aces claimed their first ABL title.

The Bandits today announced the four-time championship winner would be part of the club’s pursuit of a playoff return after narrowly missing out on the postseason last summer.

Adelaide jumped to an early lead and rode a 10-strikeout performance from Hugh Batchelor to its first win of the South Australian Baseball League season on Sunday.
Batchelor worked seven scoreless innings and Henry Cann recorded the final six outs to complete a shutout 3-0 win over Golden Grove Central Districts at Illyarie Reserve.

The Giants scored twice in the bottom of the sixth but Maddux Stivey’s three scoreless relief innings ensured the Swans held on 4-3 at Mateljan Park.

Toma Faulkner gave Mudgeeraba every chance of winning with a strong relief outing and the Redsox offence delivered late to earn a split of their weekend Greater Brisbane League matchup against Redcliffe Grey on Sunday.
Faulkner entered with none out in the fifth and was unable to prevent the Padres pulling level but helped Mudgeeraba avoid further damage ahead of the Sox scoring four late runs in an 8-4 win at Talobilla Park.

Former Canberra ABL import Kevin Kiermaier hit his second homer of the World Series and Tampa Bay walked off 8-7 in a wild game four in Arlington.
The Rays and Los Angeles Dodgers combined to score a run in a World Series-record eight straight half-innings ahead of Tampa scoring two runs with two out in the bottom of the ninth to knot the best-of-seven battle.
