West Torrens Eagles are a win away from their first South Australian State League premiership since 2017 after taking game one of their best-of-three grand final series against Goodwood Indians at West Beach on Friday night.
A nine-run sixth and Mitch Neunborn gem lifted the Eagles to an 11-1 victory in the series-opener and put them in a position to wrap up the title on Saturday night.

Glenelg Tigers secured back-to-back South Australian Women’s League premierships on Sunday following a thrilling extra-innings win over Sturt Saints.
The Tigers scored four runs in the top of the ninth and limited the Saints to just two in response to seal a 7-5 grand final win at Norman Reserve.

The Eagles prevailed 14-7 at West Lakes Sports Club on Sunday to wrap up the series in two games after recording a 3-1 win in the opener of their preliminary final series on Saturday.

Stefan Welch homered twice and finished with five RBIs and veteran John Challinor went eight innings as the Indians completed a 10-4 win at Norman Reserve to keep alive their premiership hopes.

Wanneroo Giants were crowned 2021/22 WA State League 1 champions on Saturday night after overcoming Morley Eagles in the deciding game of their best-of-three grand final series.
The Giants broke a tie with a four-run eighth and held on for a 6-4 win at Empire Ballpark following a ninth-inning rally from the Eagles.
