Grounds signs with MLB organisation

Queenslander Jackson Grounds has become the latest Aussie to sign a professional contract with an MLB organisation.

The 17-year-old right-handed pitcher inked a deal with the Pittsburgh Pirates this morning.

West Australian Bjay Cooke has become the latest Aussie to sign a professional contract with an MLB organisation.

The pitcher-infielder over the weekend inked a deal with the Oakland Athletics.

Shakespeare commits to Northeast Community College

Canberra’s Tom Shakespeare has his sights on playing for a four-year college after committing to an NJCAA Division II program.

The 18-year-old outfielder, a product of the Weston Creek Indians, will link up with Northeast Community College.

West Australian utility Dylan Bojarski is the latest Aussie to commit to Vernon College.

The 18-year-old, who was part of the National Junior Squad this year, says the Texas school is a great choice for him as he chases his goal of playing professionally.

Victorian pitcher Angus Stals has committed to Three Rivers College.

The 18-year-old national junior squad member will link up with the Missouri-based Raiders, continuing the Division I junior college’s strong ties to Australia.

Collins commits to Odessa College

Victorian Charlie Collins has committed to Odessa College in Texas.

The 18-year-old – who represented Team Australia at the 2018 WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup and was named MVP at the 2019 U-16 Australian Youth Championship – will become the latest Aussie to link up with the Division I junior college.
