Wanneroo Giants were crowned 2021/22 WA State League 1 champions on Saturday night after overcoming Morley Eagles in the deciding game of their best-of-three grand final series.
The Giants broke a tie with a four-run eighth and held on for a 6-4 win at Empire Ballpark following a ninth-inning rally from the Eagles.

It will take a third game to crown the 2022 WA State League 1 champions after defending premiers Morley Eagles secured a game two win in the best-of-three grand final series on Friday night.
The Eagles bounced back from a series-opening loss, riding a fast start to an 8-4 win over Wanneroo Giants at Empire Ballpark.

Starter Tom Bailey struck out 10 in 8 1/3 impressive innings and Conor Lourey shut the door on a 3-1 win in the opening clash of a best-of-three series at Empire Ballpark.
