The Australian Olympic Committee has told athletes they should prepare for the Tokyo Olympic Games to be pushed back to 2021.
It comes after the International Olympic Committee earlier today revealed that it was considering postponing the games because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Minor premiers Kensington have been crowned South Australian Baseball League champions.
Baseball South Australia on Friday confirmed the Cardinals were 2019/20 premiers under rule 8.3.3.1 following the cancellation of the SABL season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pine Hills has been crowned the Greater Brisbane League champions after it was decided the competition’s finals series will not go ahead when baseball activity in Queensland resumes.
Baseball Queensland today confirmed the GBL competition committee had decided its season should conclude prior to the finals series commencing following a 21-day cease on baseball activity in the state being introduced earlier in the week.

Baseball Australia is on the search for hosts of the next four Australian Youth and Australian Senior League championships.
Expressions of interest to host the Australian Youth Championship and Australian Senior League Championship from 2021 to 2024 have now opened and will close on May 15.

Baseball Western Australia’s board has made the decision to cease all baseball activity in the state until further notice in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement released on Wednesday afternoon Baseball WA said it had “adopted further changes to upcoming baseball activities and events to comply with government mandates surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and prioritise the health and safety of the community”.

Baseball South Australia’s board has unanimously decided to cancel trainings and games for all its clubs and affiliations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The move is effective immediately, putting an end to the 2019/20 season.

Baseball New South Wales has become the latest state body to announce a cease on all baseball activity due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It announced this morning all baseball activities in the state between today and April 30 would be postponed due to the spread of the coronavirus.

The Lightning went down 12-11 in game two at Redlands after claiming the early matchup 4-3.

Baseball Queensland, Baseball Victoria, Baseball Canberra and Baseball Northern Territory have announced the postponement of all baseball activity for at least the next 21 days due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The three governing bodies earlier today announced they and their member clubs and associations would cease all activity for 21 days.

School Sport Australia has announced the 2020 18 Years & Under Baseball Championship has been cancelled due to COVID-19.
The championship was set to take place in Lismore from April 26 to May 2 but School Sport Australia confirmed yesterday the event was one of five to be held between now and May that had been cancelled.
