Follow the #AWBC2022 day 2 action

Either Australian Capital Territory or Western Australia will open their account on day two of the 2022 Australian Women’s Baseball Championship in Adelaide on Saturday.

The two teams will clash from 5pm on diamond two as they look to bounce back from defeats to Victoria on Friday.

It has been 1090 days since Victoria claimed gold at the 2019 Australian Women’s Baseball Championship in Canberra.

After two long COVID-19 impacted years state and territory pride will be on the line once more when the 2022 Australian Women’s Baseball Championship gets underway in Adelaide on Friday.

The 17-year-old left hander says that Cochise will help him achieve his goal of attending a four-year college.

Bojarski commits to Vernon College

West Australian utility Dylan Bojarski is the latest Aussie to commit to Vernon College.

The 18-year-old, who was part of the National Junior Squad this year, says the Texas school is a great choice for him as he chases his goal of playing professionally.

West Aussie pitcher signs with Diamondbacks

West Australian pitcher Will Sherriff has inked a long-term deal with Major League Baseball’s Arizona.

The 18-year-old lefty is set to link up with the Diamondbacks later this month after signing a seven-year deal on the back of an impressive Australian Baseball League season with Perth.

Baseball WA calls off baseball activity indefinitely

Baseball Western Australia’s board has made the decision to cease all baseball activity in the state until further notice in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement released on Wednesday afternoon Baseball WA said it had “adopted further changes to upcoming baseball activities and events to comply with government mandates surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and prioritise the health and safety of the community”.
