Boral Team Australia has kept alive its hopes of playing for a Premier12 medal after topping the US 2-1 at the Tokyo Dome on Wednesday afternoon.
Australia jumped out to a two-run lead in the first and rode a strong start from Tim Atherton to its first win of the super round and first over the US in 10 meetings at major senior events.

Veteran Landon Hernandez had a big day on the mound and at the plate as Henley & Grange defeated Adelaide 9-0 to move to the top of South Australian Baseball League ladder after five rounds on Sunday.
Hernandez pitched a one-hit shutout and added three RBIs at the plate as the Rams scored six runs in the first two innings to put the game out of the Angels reach.

Mexico started with a bang, going deep on the first pitch it faced, ahead of recording a 3-0 victory to send Australia crashing to an 0-3 record in the super round.

The Royals fell behind 3-0 in the top of the first but responded to score the next 10 runs on their way to a 15-7 win at Tulip Street Reserve.

Australia opened the scoring in the third and took a one-run lead into the seventh before going down 3-2 in their opening Premier12 super round game.

New South Welshman Liam McCallum has committed to Division I Gonzaga University.
The 17-year-old two-way player will head over to the US in June 2021 and link up with the Bulldogs after committing earlier this month.

Manager David Nilsson confirmed at a press conference in Tokyo this evening the right-hander would make his first appearance of the tournament against world number one Japan.

Canberra has added its second big leaguer in the past week with Gavin Cecchini set to link up with the Cavalry for the upcoming Australian Baseball League season.
The 25-year-old infielder joins Canberra after electing free agency earlier this month following eight seasons in the New York Mets’ system, including two at MLB level.

The dates for all four Little League® Baseball World Series events have been locked in for the next three years, with the 2020 calendar set to start on August 1 next year.
Little League International’s Board of Directors approved the calendar during their annual fall meeting overnight.
