Queenslander Kai-Noa Wynyard has become the latest young Australian to sign with an MLB organisation after inking a deal with Texas yesterday.
The 18-year-old pitcher is a product of the Redcliffe Padres and has represented both Queensland and Boral Team Australia during his junior years.

Left-handed starter Gunnar Kines is on the move to Melbourne after impressing in his first ABL season with Adelaide last summer.
The 27-year-old went 3-2 with a 1.50 ERA in nine regular-season starts, striking out 42 in in 42 innings and recording a WHIP of 1.17.

The 24-year-old Pittsburgh prospect is a career .343 hitter 89 regular-season ABL games and averaged .335 with seven homers and 35 RBIs last season.

Julie Jones has lost count of how many times she has completed the trip from home in Bendigo to Essendon Baseball Club and back again in the past 20-plus years.
The club’s long-time secretary has been a prominent figure in Victorian baseball not only at the Bombers but in Bendigo and beyond, helping run and grow the Winter Championships over more than a decade.

Liam Hendriks collected the first postseason save of his Major League career to propel Oakland into an American League Division Series against fierce rivals Houston.
The A’s topped the Chicago White Sox 6-4 at the Coliseum on Friday morning (Australian time) to complete a comeback 2-1 series win – their first in the playoffs since 2006 – in the best-of-three AL Wild Card matchup.

The 2021 Australian Little League Championship will be held in Lismore with the champions set to be crowned on the New South Wales holiday for the Queen’s Birthday.
Baseball Australia today locked in the last piece of next year’s Little League calendar, confirming the titles would be held at Albert Park Baseball Complex from June 9-14 next year.
