The Tigers wrapped up the club’s first division one crown in 20 years with a 4-3 win over Essendon Bombers in game two of the best-of-three grand final series at Melbourne Ballpark on Saturday.

The Bombers will take on Upwey-Ferntree Gully Tigers in the decider after recording a 6-4 extra-inning win over Geelong Baycats in the deciding third game of their semi-final series at Geelong Baseball Centre.

The Baycats will host the series decider on Sunday after piling on five late runs to seal a comeback 6-2 win at Boeing Reserve.

Upwey-Ferntree Gully Tigers used another eighth-inning offensive burst to overcome Waverley Wildcats and book their spot in the 2022 Victorian Summer Baseball League grand final on Saturday.
The Tigers scored three times in the eighth to seal a 6-3 win at Kings Park and take care of the Wildcats with a game to spare.

Essendon Bombers are a win away from the Victorian Summer Baseball League grand final series after blanking Geelong Baycats in the opening game of their semi-final on Tuesday night.
Starter Sam Street struck out seven and allowed just three hits in eight scoreless innings to lead the Bombers to a 10-0 at Melbourne Ballpark.

Upwey-Ferntree Gully Tigers scored five times in the eighth to overcome Waverley Wildcats 7-3 in the opening game of their best-of-three Victorian Summer Baseball League semi-final series on Tuesday night.
Jordan Elliott’s RBI-double put the Tigers on top and they added three more runs ahead of Donavon Hendricks closing the door in the top of the ninth to seal a game one win at Robert Booth Reserve.

Essendon Bombers and Upwey-Ferntree Gully Tigers will enter the Victorian Summer Baseball League finals on a high after extending their long winning streaks on Saturday.
The Bombers downed Berwick City Cougars 12-2 on the road to notch a sixth-straight win while the Tigers extended their winning streak to eight games to finish atop the Eastern Conference.

Geelong Baycats punched their Victorian Summer Baseball League finals ticket with a 7-2 win over Sunshine Eagles at Melbourne Ballpark on Tuesday night.
The Baycats overturned an early 2-0 deficit to wrap up a sweep of the three-game season series between the two sides and end the Eagles’ hopes of finishing in the Western Conference top-two.
