The 25-man opening day rosters include a stack of Australian Baseball League players – past and present – along with national team talent and plenty of up-and-coming South Australian talents.

West Australian Liam Hendriks recorded the final five outs for his Major League-leading 13th save of the year as Oakland improved to 31-19 this morning.
Hendriks struck out two and allowed one hit across 1 2/3 innings as the A’s topped Colorado 3-1 at Coors Field.

Utility Jared Cruz has re-signed with defending champions Melbourne for an eighth Australian Baseball League season.
The 25-year-old featured heavily in the second half of last season, averaging .258 and driving in a career-high 11 runs in 23 games.

Brisbane has re-signed Boral Team Australia utility Mitch Nilsson ahead of the 2020/21 Australian Baseball League season.
Nilsson, 29, will front up for an 11th season with the Bandits after being part of their roster in year one of the relaunched league.

Baseball Australia and the state and territory bodies have unanimously agreed to the move – which comes in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic – following an extensive review which included consultation of athletes and teams that would likely have featured in the event.
