The Adelaide Giants’ new owners have outlined a vision to build a multimillion-dollar stadium on the fringes of the South Australian capital.
Pelligra chairman Ross Pelligra says a number of potential sites for a new stadium, which would seat around 5000 fans and cost up to $40m to build, have already been identified.

Leading property developer Pelligra has purchased the Adelaide Giants’ Australian Baseball League licence.
The Adelaide Football Club this afternoon announced it had finalised the sale of the baseball team and Pelligra would take control of operations effective immediately.

Liam Hendriks slammed the door shut on the Oakland Athletics in his first meeting against his former team after signing with the Chicago White Sox in the offseason.
Hendriks struck out the side in the top of the ninth to help the White Sox complete a 5-2 win at Guaranteed Rate Field on Tuesday morning and improve their American League Central leading record to 69-50.

Boss Moanaroa could hit the 300 Australian Baseball League game milestone this summer after re-signing with the Canberra Cavalry.
The 30-year-old infielder will front for a sixth season in Cavalry colours after returning to Canberra last season after a second stint with the Sydney Blue Sox.

The Sydney Blue Sox have secured the services of another returning Australian young gun, adding infielder Dean Frew ahead of the 2021/22 Australian Baseball League season.
Frew, 24, represented Team Australia at the 2015 WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup in Japan and most recently spent two seasons at the Tarleton State Texans.

Team Australia has named a U-18 squad on the back of last week’s cancellation of its would-have-been final selection camp due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
A 38-player squad has been named, featuring 14 players from Queensland, 12 from New South Wales, five from both Victoria and Western Australia, along with one player from both the Australian Capital Territory and South Australia.
