Team Australia Futures launched a stunning late comeback but fell just short of a thrilling win in the opener of its two-game series against the Adelaide Giants on Friday night.
Down 6-0, the Futures team scored five runs in the top of the eighth to set up a thrilling finish but they were unable to get any closer than the 6-5 final at West Beach.

Just hours remain before Team Australia Futures take on the Adelaide Giants in the first of two games at West Beach this weekend.
A 20-strong roster was named earlier this week – after plenty of tough decisions – featuring some of the country’s most exciting up-and-coming prospects and some recently returned college players.

Twenty players from around the country have been named to the Team Australia Futures roster set to take on the Adelaide Giants at West Beach this weekend.
Eight players from New South Wales, six from Queensland and two each from South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia have been named for the two-game series against the Australian Baseball League franchise.

Former development player Harry Fullerton will return to the Sydney Blue Sox this summer after time in the US college system.
Fullerton, who turns 23 on Sunday, hit .316 across two seasons with the University of New Mexico after a stint with Odessa College.

New South Welshman Harry Fullerton homered twice in game two of New Mexico’s doubleheader against San Jose State on Sunday morning.
Fullerton finished 2-for-2 with four RBIs after entering as a pinch-hitter in the Lobos’ 14-2 run-rule win at Excite Ballpark.

Harry Fullerton cranked a three-run homer and finished with four RBIs to help New Mexico to victory in game one of its doubleheader against Air Force on Sunday morning.
The New South Welshman’s first homer of the season gave the Lobos the lead as part of a seven-run third in an 11-7 win at Santa Ana Star Field in Albuquerque.
