Cronulla scored its first run of the 2019 Little League Baseball World Series but was unable to overcome Great Lakes Region in their consolation game this morning.
The US charter jumped out to a 3-0 lead against Cronulla, representing Australia Region at the World Series, and went on to win 4-1 at Volunteer Stadium in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Community Left Field Little League
Cronulla were on hand at the 2019 Little League Classic at Historic Bowman Field in Williamsport this morning, brushing shoulders with big leaguers, throwing out a relay first pitch and signing autographs for fans.
The Chicago Cubs came out on top 7-1 against Pittsburgh as players from both organisations took a trip back to their childhood in the annual event.

Former Melbourne import Yusei Kikuchi fired a two-hit shutout as Seattle downed Toronto 7-0 at Rogers Centre earlier this morning.
The left-hander, who spent the 2011/12 ABL season with the Aces, used just 96 pitches to record 27 outs in his longest MLB outing.
