Royals crowned Greater Brisbane League champions

Brandan Bidois and Matt Tims combined to allow one hit and Logan Wade went 3-for-4 to help Windsor overcome Redcliffe Red and secure the Greater Brisbane League premiership on Thursday night.

Bidois struck out eight in five scoreless innings and Timms recorded seven strikeouts in three one-hit frames to lift the Royals to a 4-0 win at Pine Hills in game three of the grand final.

Callil cranks first homer of season, Gamecocks extend streak

Victorian George Callil went deep for the first time this season as South Carolina extended its winning streak to six games on Wednesday morning.

The shortstop went deep to left field in the fifth as the Gamecocks continued their streak with a 9-4 win over Gardner-Webb at Founders Park.

Fourteen ABL alumni in MLB Opening Day mix

Most of the 30 Major League Baseball organisations have locked in their 26-man rosters ahead of Opening Day on Friday, leaving 14 players with Australian Baseball League service time in the mix.

Last season’s American League Reliever of the Year Liam Hendriks will be the only Australian on an Opening Day roster while two former Helms Award winners have been named after not being on season-opening rosters for the abbreviated 2020 season.

Workers seal NSWSBL premiership with wild comeback

Blacktown rallied from 5-0 down entering the eighth to walk off and secure the 2020/21 New South Wales State Baseball League premiership on Wednesday night.

James Yates singled with two out in the bottom of the ninth to lift Workers to a 6-5 walk-off win over Baulkham Hills at Blacktown International Sportspark, completing a wild comeback in the third and deciding game of the grand final series.

Youth Invitational players revealed

Four Queenslanders will be absent when the 2021 Australian Youth Women’s Baseball Invitational gets underway in Adelaide on Saturday.

Paula Doherty, Mackenzie Starkey, Kirrali Van Hilst and Britany Wyllie will no longer join 35 other invitees from April 3-7 due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Queensland.

Giants win NSW Women's grand final

Greenway secured the NSW Women’s Baseball League 2020/21 premiership on Saturday after overcoming Blacktown 5-2.

Laura Neads and Emma Wallace both drove in two runs to support strong pitching from the Giants at Greenway Park.

Women's Showcase games postponed following COVID outbreak

Australian Women’s Baseball Showcase doubleheaders scheduled for Adelaide and Brisbane the next two weekends have been postponed.

Baseball Australia today made the decision for the April 3 and 10 games to be pushed back following Greater Brisbane heading into a three-day lockdown from 5pm due to the latest COVID-19 outbreak.

Padres use 11-run inning to set up game three in GBL decider

Redcliffe Red used a massive 11-run third inning to send the Greater Brisbane League grand final series against Windsor to a third game.

The Padres rode the big inning to a 13-5 win at James Drysdale Reserve on Sunday as they overcame an early 2-0 deficit to keep the series alive.

Kookaburras level NSWSBL decider

Baulkham Hills set up a third and deciding game in the New South Wales State Baseball League grand final series after downing Blacktown 7-2 at Blacktown International Sportspark on Sunday.

The Kookaburras scored early runs and rode 5 1/3 scoreless innings from relievers Tom Roberts and Tom Stancic to victory to keep the series alive after falling 7-1 in the opener on Saturday night.

Saints clinch second SABL title in three years

Sturt secured its second South Australian Baseball League premiership in the past three seasons after overcoming Goodwood in extra-innings at West Beach on Saturday night.

Angus Roeger’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th lifted the Saints to a 3-2 win in game two of the best-of-three grand final series.

Bombers secure VSBL premiership in two games

Essendon wrapped up the Victorian Summer Baseball League premiership on Saturday after taking down Waverley 9-6 in game two of the grand final series.

Jake Giles drove in three runs while Michael Formisano and Shoma Ikehata each collected two RBIs as the Bombers wrapped up the best-of-three series at Melbourne Ballpark with a game to spare.
