Palmerston scored five runs in the fifth to secure a 12-8 win over Nightcliff in the Darwin Baseball League on Sunday.
The Reds used the big inning to turn a one-run lead into a more comfortable one at Tracy Village Baseball Fields ahead of denying a rally from the Tigers in the top of the seventh.

Liam Hendriks struck out all three batters he faced in the 10th inning as Oakland completed a comeback win over San Francisco at Oracle Park on Saturday afternoon.
The West Australian worked with a runner on second under MLB’s extra-inning rules for the 2020 season but it did not affect him as he let his fastball do plenty of damage to complete an 8-7 win for the A’s.

The Australian Baseball League’s 2020/21 schedule release has been delayed but Baseball Australia chief executive Cam Vale says it is not far away from being locked in.
Vale had flagged this week for the schedule release back in June but said it was not quite ready following the challenges presented by a second wave of COVID-19 outbreaks across parts of Australia since.

The Australian Baseball League’s player agreement with Major League Baseball has been extended for a further three seasons, paving the way for an influx of high-quality prospects to take part in the 2020/21 season.
Baseball Australia chief executive Cam Vale said MLB organisations had never been more interested in sending prospects to play in the ABL, cementing the league’s status as the premier baseball competition in the Southern Hemisphere.

Liam Hendriks worked a scoreless ninth inning in Oakland’s 8-4 win over the Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium on Thursday morning, Australian time.
The right-hander struck out Albert Pujols and Jason Castro and did not allow a baserunner in a non-save situation as the A’s returned to the winners’ list after suffering two-straight losses on the back of a nine-game winning streak to start August.

Taipans surged late to maintain their perfect start to the Baseball Association Townsville season at Jabiru Park on Sunday.
A seven-run sixth helped the Taipans break a deadlock and overcome defending champions the Jethawks 8-2 and improve their record to 3-0 after three rounds.

Oakland extended its winning streak to eight games and its lead atop the American League West to 4 1/2 games with a 3-1 win over Houston at the Coliseum on Sunday morning (Australian time).
The A’s rode a strong outing from Frankie Montas and fifth save of 2020 from West Australian Liam Hendriks to victory, extending its Major League-best winning run.

West Australian Liam Hendriks moved into a tie for second in Major League Baseball after recording his fourth save of the season earlier this morning.
Hendriks worked around a lead-off single to toss a scoreless top of the ninth as Oakland downed Texas 6-4 to complete a series sweep and secure a sixth-straight win.
