Cronulla has completed the long trek from Sydney and arrived in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, for the 2019 Little League Baseball World Series.

Metros primed for Junior League World Series

Northern Metros’ manager Craig Hughes set his sights on a top-eight finish at May’s Australian Junior League Championship in Adelaide.

On Monday morning, the Western Australian charter is set to represent Australia Region at the Junior League Baseball World Series in Taylor, Michigan.

Thorpe strikes out seven in return to Rochester

Lewis Thorpe struck out seven in six scoreless innings for Rochester in his return to Triple-A this morning.

The left-hander did not give up a hit until the fifth inning but despite his strong outing the Red Wings fell to Gwinnett 4-3 at Frontier Field.

Shepherd strikes out four, collects first win

Zac Shepherd struck out four in two scoreless frames to collect his first Minor League win in his 14th appearance on the mound.

Shepherd worked a scoreless seventh and eighth as Connecticut topped Aberdeen 3-2 in their New York-Penn League game at Dodd Stadium.

McGrath outduels 2018 number one pick

Daniel McGrath outdueled the number one overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft to lead Portland to a 2-0 win over Erie in the Eastern League this morning.

Left-hander McGrath went toe-to-toe with Detroit Tigers’ prospect Casey Mize for six innings before the 22-year-old SeaWolves’ starter was replaced having allowed the only run of the game at Hadlock Field.

Bojarski collects three hits as Whitecaps rout Tincaps

Ulrich Bojarski had three singles and scored each time as West Michigan shut out Fort Wayne 8-0 in the Class A Midwest League earlier today.

The Perth Heat outfielder drove in the Whitecaps’ first run in the top of the first and scored on a Daniel Reyes homer as West Michigan took an early 4-0 lead over the Tincaps at Parkview Field.

#OTD in 1999: Durrington makes big league debut

On this day in 1999 Trent Durrington became the third Australian positional player to make his MLB debut in the modern era.

He appeared for the Anaheim Angels in a 5-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox at Edison Field, singling to right in his first at-bat.

Ngoepe set for Blue Sox return

Reigning ABL Defensive Player of the Year Gift Ngoepe is set to return for a second season with the Sydney Blue Sox.

The former big leaguer will return to the Blue Sox after averaging a team-high .379 with six homers and 32 RBIs in 2018/19.

Hendriks notches 11th save as A's top Cardinals

West Australian Liam Hendriks notched his 11th save of the season as Oakland outlasted St Louis 4-2 at Oakland Coliseum earlier today.

Hendriks struck out two of the three batters he faced in a scoreless ninth to convert the save opportunity and seal the A’s 64th win of the season.
