#U12WorldCup team helping grow the game

Australia may not have given up much to Fiji during their WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup contest in Taiwan yesterday, but beforehand it was a different story.

The team surprised Fiji ahead of their consolation game in Shan-Hwa by presenting each of the South Pacific nation’s 16 players with a fielding glove as they look to help grow the game in Oceania.

Australia's #U12WorldCup finale to be broadcast

Australia’s WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup finale against the Czech Republic tomorrow will start earlier and be broadcast as a result of schedule changes.

The consolation game will now start at 9.30am local time (11.30am AEST, 11am ACST, 9.30am AWST) after the WSBC was forced to reschedule several games following heavy rain in Taiwan on Friday.

Knight to lead new-look Heat coaching staff

Two-time championship-winning manager Brooke Knight will return to the Perth Heat for the 2019/20 Australian Baseball League season.

Knight, who steered the Heat to the first two titles of the revamped Australian Baseball League, will lead a new-look coaching staff in Perth.

Australia powers to consecutive #U12WorldCup wins

Australia has recorded its second win in as many days after powering past Fiji 15-0 at the 2019 WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup in Taiwan this afternoon.

Josh Nati drove in five runs and Austin Moyle and Will Kent three each as Australia improved to 2-2 in the consolation round.

Suns finish #SLBWS on rain-shortened high

Western Suns led their Senior League Baseball World Series consolation game against East Region 7-0 when it was called off after rain in Easley, South Carolina.

The Suns, representing Australia Region, rode a four-run third to a big lead before poor weather halted play in the top of the fourth.

Aces sign Tols to three-year deal

Left-handed pitcher Josh Tols has signed a three-year deal with the Melbourne Aces.

The Aces yesterday announced Tols would return to Melbourne for a fourth Australian Baseball League season in 2019/20.

Metros unable to reel in fast-starting East Region

Northern Metros were unable to overcome fast-starting East Region in their consolation game at the Intermediate (50/70) Baseball World Series in Livermore, California, this morning.

The Metros, representing Australia Region in Livermore, fell behind 11-0 after three innings before mounting a comeback and going down 15-6.

Australia claims first win of #U12WorldCup

Australia has broken through for its first win of the 2019 WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup in Taiwan, toppling South Africa in their consolation round game on Thursday afternoon.

Josh Nati and Lachlan Vella homered as Australia prevailed 7-4 at Tainan’s ASPAC B.

Whitefield goes 4-for-5 in Miracle win

Former Helms Award winner Aaron Whitefield collected four hits and drove in a run for Fort Myers in an 11-6 win over Dunedin in the Florida State League today.

Whitefield went 4-for-5 in just his third game back with the Class A Advanced Miracle following a stint in Double A with Pensacola.

Williams seals walk-off win for Rocky Mountain

West Australian Jess Williams lifted Rocky Mountain to a 7-6 walk-off win this morning in game one of their Pioneer League doubleheader against Orem.

Williams brought home the winning run with a bunt single in the bottom of the seventh at UCHealth Park.
