The WBSC, Tainan City Government and Chinese Taipei Baseball Association officially christened the brand new US$130 million Tainan Asia-Pacific International Baseball Stadium (ASPAC) Friday night in front of a capacity crowd of 7992.

Murphy pleased by fighting spirit

Australian manager Brian Murphy says his team can take plenty of positives out of their WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup loss to the US earlier tonight.

Australia stifled the US early, restricting them to a 4-0 lead after four frames, before falling 10-0 in Taiwan.

Aussies push US in #U12WorldCup Opener

Manager Brian Murphy said Australia would have a red-hot crack at the U-12 Baseball World Cup in Taiwan.

Against three-time defending champions the US in their opening Group B game they certainly did just that.

McGrath continues red-hot run

Victorian Daniel McGrath tossed eight scoreless innings as Portland fell to Harrisburg 1-0 in extra-innings this morning.

The Sea Dogs’ lefty continued his red-hot run, striking out six and giving up just two hits and a walk, but lacked support from his offence in a tough loss.

Murphy hails training camp a success

It does not get much tougher than facing the three-time defending champions first up.

But Australian WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup manager Brian Murphy says his young troops enter tomorrow’s clash with the US up for the challenge after a highly-successful training camp in Taiwan.

Northern Metros chase history in Livermore

Twelve months after making history as Australia Region’s first representative at the Intermediate (50/70) Baseball World Series, the Northern Metros are set for a Livermore return.

The Metros left Perth today ahead of a long trip to California as they chase another slice of history.

Wingrove homers in one-run GCL loss

Rixon Wingrove’s team-leading fourth home run of the season was not enough to lift GCL Phillies West to victory earlier today.

Wingrove went deep to put Phillies West up 2-0 in the top of the sixth but GCL Yankees West rallied late to record a 4-3 win at Yankee Complex.

Aces re-sign Kennedy for 2019/20 ABL season

Melbourne has signed left-handed pitcher Jon Kennedy for the 2019/20 Australian Baseball League season.

The 24-year-old Victorian returns to the Aces for an eighth season boasting a career ERA of 5.05 in the ABL.
