The International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Government of Japan today agreed new dates for the Games of the XXXII Olympiad, in 2021.

WBSC Oceania has confirmed Boral Team Australia has no challengers for the region’s championship early next year and the event will not go ahead.
The event – which had not been officially announced – was set to decide the region’s participant at next April’s last chance Olympic qualifier in Taiwan.

The winner of the 2020 Oceania Baseball Championship will play Chinese Taipei on day one of April’s last-chance Olympic qualifier in Taiwan.
The WBSC overnight announced the schedule for the six-team tournament which will include hosts Chinese Taipei, China, the Netherlands, two teams from the Americas and the Oceania champion.

Former big leaguer Danny Valencia’s three-run homer in the eighth capped off an 11-1 win over South Africa in Parma as Israel secured its spot in the six-team Olympic baseball tournament for the first time.
