Redlands Rays scored seven late runs – including six in a deadlock-breaking seventh inning – to take the opening game of their Greater Brisbane League semi-final against Pine Rivers Rapids on Friday night.
Kevin Jordan’s seventh-inning triple put the Rays on top for good and they piled on plenty of insurance to prevail 8-1 at Duncan Road and move within a win of the grand final series.

Redlands Rays have improved to second spot in the Greater Brisbane League after sweeping their Sunday doubleheader against the Mudgeeraba Redsox at Firth Park.
After picking up a 5- 1 victory in game one, the Rays continued their recent run of good form with a 6-1 victory to improve their record to 12-4 on the season.
