Giants down defending champions in Adelaide
Adelaide has recorded its first win in an Australian Baseball League season-opener since 2014 by taking down four-time defending champions Brisbane at home on Friday night.
The recently rebadged Giants took a 2-0 first inning lead after Aaron Whitefield doubled home Mikey Reynolds and later scored on a groundout.

Perth will look to make it two-from-two when its faces Auckland at North Harbour Stadium from 7pm local time (5pm AEDT).
The Heat took out the opening game of the Australian Baseball League season 6-1 in New Zealand last night on the back of a complete game from Dylan Unsworth and four homers.
