Eastern Athletics locked in its spot in the Pool A top-two with a hard-fought win over Wanneroo at the 2021 Australian Senior League Championship in Lismore on Sunday.
The Athletics downed the Giants 9-7 on diamond two to ensure they and Macarthur cannot be overtaken in the Pool A standings on day three and will feature in a semi-final on Tuesday.

The Mariners collected 12 hits to seven to make it two-from-two for Victorian teams on the opening day of action after Eastern Athletics won earlier against Brisbane Metro.

Koby Chesterton and Adam Bates combined to lift Macarthur to a shutout win over Wanneroo Giants on day one of the 2021 Australian Senior League Championship in Lismore on Saturday.
Chesterton struck out three across three scoreless innings ahead of Bates punching out 12 in four frames without a hit as Macarthur prevailed 3-0 on diamond one.
