Northern Metros earn return trip to Intermediate World Series

Northern Metros will represent Australia region at the Little League Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Division World Series in the US for a second-straight year.

The Metros punched their ticket to next month’s World Series in Livermore, California, with an 8-2 victory over Hills in the 2019 Australian Intermediate League Championship gold medal game in Mildura this afternoon.

Metros set up battle with Hills for #AILC2019 gold

Defending champions Northern Metros will face Hills in the 2019 Australian Intermediate League Championship gold medal game tomorrow.

Metros topped Manly in a hard-fought semi-final in Mildura after Hills earlier powered past Ryde Hawks earlier on Thursday.

Hills and Northern Metros recorded day three wins to top their respective pools at the 2019 Australian Intermediate League Championship in Mildura.

Hills powered past Manly and Northern Metros proved too strong for Ryde Hawks to punch their semi-final tickets.

Australian #U12WorldCup roster revealed

Team Australia has finalised its roster for next month’s WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup in Taiwan.

Eighteen players aged 11 and 12 will represent Australia in Tainan from July 26 to August 4.

Northern Metros, Manly and Hills unbeaten after #AILC2019 day two

Defending champions Northern Metros, Hills and Manly remain undefeated after day two action at the 2019 Australian Intermediate League Championship in Mildura.

Hills and the Metros claimed two wins on Tuesday and Manly overpowered Western Suns 14-3 to enter day three without a loss.

Victorian Government backs Australian Intermediate League Championship

The Victorian Government has put its support behind the Australian Intermediate League Championship in Mildura for the next four years.

Sunraysia Baseball League will host the 2019 event at Mildura’s Aerodrome Sporting Complex for the first time from June 17-21.

ABL 2019/20 Schedule Released

The 2019/2020 Australian Baseball League regular season will start a week later and finish with a blockbuster lineup of divisional matchups.

Baseball Australia today confirmed the ABL’s 10th season would start on November 21 to avoid a clash with Premier12 and finish with three-straight rounds of divisional action.

Former manly Junior signs for $850k with the Phillies

The Philadelphia Phillies have struck a $850K deal with former Manly junior and Sydney Blue Sox right-hand pitcher Josh Gessner, according to MLB.com’s Jesse Sanchez (via Twitter).

Team Australia general manager and former MLB player Glenn Williams said he is excited to see how far Gessner can take his talents.

“I am really happy for Josh,” Williams said.

Cronulla claim #ALLC2019 gold

Cronulla will represent Australia region at the Little League Baseball World Series for the second time in August.

A fast start helped Cronulla top Ryde Red 5-2 – and punch its ticket to the US – in the 2019 Australian Little League Championship gold medal game in Lismore on Monday afternoon.

Hills Red claim first medal up for grabs on final day of #ALLC2019

Hills Red claimed bronze in early action on day five of the 2019 Australian Little League Championship in Lismore.

An eight-run second inning lifted Hills over Eastern Phantoms on diamond one.

Cronulla, Ryde Red advance to Championship Game at #ALLC2019

Cronulla and Ryde Red will square off in the 2019 Australian Little League Championship gold medal game tomorrow.

The New South Wales duo recorded semi-final wins in Lismore on Sunday to set up a battle of undefeated teams in the championship game.
