Team Australia’s first chance at Olympic qualification will come at the 2019 Premier12, after the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) confirmed Australia’s place in the tournament overnight.
Australia must finish above Chinese Taipei and South Korea at the 2019 Premier12 to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Baseball Australia has revealed the members of the Women’s Advisory Group that will recommend the structure and direction of the proposed Women’s Australian Baseball League (WABL).
The six members of the Women’s Advisory Group consist of women from sport, education, business and baseball, including Australian Emeralds veterans Tahnee Lovering and Erin Fox.

Mildura will host the Australian Intermediate League Championship (AILC) for the next four years in a joint partnership between Baseball Australia and the Sunraysia Baseball League.
The Old Aerodrome Sporting Complex will host the second AILC from June 17-21, 2019 after the championship’s successful debut on the Australian Little League calendar in 2018.

Baseball Australia has revealed its list of Nationally Identified Players, aimed at ensuring competitive balance and promoting playing opportunities for Australians in the Brut Australian Baseball League.
The list of 36 players – which can expand to a maximum of 50 – will along with non-listed Australian players accrue negative points under new ABL roster rules.
