Jackson Brebner-Russ is set to play in the Australian Baseball League for the first time since December 2018 after being rewarded for his strong South Australian Baseball League form with a spot on Adelaide’s roster for its home hub, starting on Thursday.

Brebner-Russ has been named as a pitcher, after also serving as a hitter in the ABL previously, while catcher Riley Moore comes onto the Giants’ roster to face Brisbane and Perth at Dicolor Australia Stadium in the first half of the South Australian Government supported Adelaide hub.

Brisbane has made three changes to its roster ahead of the opening half of the Adelaide hub, proudly supported by the South Australian Government, getting underway on Thursday.

The Bandits’ 24-man active roster to face hosts Adelaide and Perth includes pitchers Brandan Bidois and Rick Teasley, along with infielder Dermot Fritsch.

The Adelaide hub will start on Thursday as originally planned and include two additional games but no longer feature Canberra in the second half.

Perth will remain in the hub for its entire duration from January 14-20, along with hosts Adelaide and Brisbane, as they are unable to return to Western Australia at this time without quarantining.
