Late runs and a strong relief outing from Gareth Bacon lifted Swan Hills Aces over Wanneroo in their consolation game at the 2021 Australian Senior League Championship on Tuesday afternoon.
The Aces scored six runs in the fifth to secure a 9-7 win on diamond two and advance to the fifth-place playoff on Wednesday.

Eastern Athletics locked in its spot in the Pool A top-two with a hard-fought win over Wanneroo at the 2021 Australian Senior League Championship in Lismore on Sunday.
The Athletics downed the Giants 9-7 on diamond two to ensure they and Macarthur cannot be overtaken in the Pool A standings on day three and will feature in a semi-final on Tuesday.
