Brisbane Bandits are in control of their 2022 Australian Women’s Baseball Showcase fate following a strong win over Victoria Aces in Geelong on Saturday.
The Bandits bats fired once again to secure a 12-2 win at Geelong Baseball Centre in the first game of a day three doubleheader.

Ayami Sato’s grand slam provided all the offence Mizuki Bando and the Adelaide Giants needed to secure a first win of the 2022 Australian Women’s Baseball Showcase in Geelong on Friday night.
Sato took advantage of a bases-loaded opportunity following a rain delay at Geelong Baseball Centre, breaking the deadlock and helping the Giants to a 4-0 win over the Victoria Aces.

Brisbane Bandits scored 11-straight runs through the middle innings to overcome the Adelaide Giants and open their 2022 Australian Women’s Baseball Showcase account in Geelong on Friday afternoon.
Canadian import Allison Schroder drove in four runs and Jordan Richardson had three RBIs as the Bandits overturned an early 3-0 deficit to secure an 11-5 win at Geelong Baseball Centre.

The Aces reeled in an early 7-0 deficit to record a 14-11 win at Geelong Baseball Centre.

Rob has been a director of Baseball Australia since July 2012 having previously served as President of Baseball Victoria from 2009 – 2012. He was also on the board of Baseball Victoria and Victorian Baseball Association for over 20 years.

Seven international stars will join Australia’s top talent at the 2022 Australian Women’s Baseball Showcase in Geelong next month.
Three players from Canada and Japan along with one from the US will be drafted onto the three Showcase rosters under an initiative supported by the World Baseball Softball Confederation and Baseball Canada, Baseball Federation of Japan and USA Baseball.

Joel Hogan and Maddux Stivey combined to shut out New Zealand as Team Australia wrapped up a three-game sweep of the 2022 WBSC Oceania U-23 World Cup Qualifier on Sunday.
Hogan tossed three scoreless innings and Stivey two and Australia’s offence provided more than enough run support in a 12-0 win at Canberra’s MIT Ballpark.

Australia jumped to an early 9-0 lead and withstood a fifth-inning rally from New Zealand to record a 13-3 win at Narrabundah.
