Alex Wells struck out eight and allowed just two runs in seven innings as Bowie fell 2-1 down in its Eastern League Championship Series match-up with Trenton this morning.
The left-hander scattered six hits across seven impressive frames but the Baysox offence failed to fire in a 2-1 game three defeat at Prince George’s Stadium.

Wells was backed by a powerful offensive performance as the Baysox downed Harrisburg 12-5 at FNB Field to claim a 3-1 semi-final series win.
