Hanwha avoid historic low, sweep doubleheader

West Australian Warwick Saupold’s Hanwha Eagles avoided the longest losing streak in KBO history on Sunday, sweeping a doubleheader against Doosan Bears at Hanwha Life Eagles Park.

The Eagles resumed Saturday’s rain-halted game trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the third as they faced a 19th-straight loss which would have eclipsed the Sammi Superstars’ 18-game losing skid in 1985.
