Liam Spence drove in a pair of runs in his High-A debut to help South Bend to victory at a ballpark his brother called home for part of the 2010 Minor League season.
Spence drove in the first two runs of the ballgame for the Cubs as they recorded a 5-1 win over Fort Wayne at Parkview Field.

Geelong’s Liam Spence says hearing his name be called at last week’s MLB Draft put him in a “complete daze”.
The 23-year-old infielder was taken by the Chicago Cubs with the 154th pick in the draft, putting him another step closer to his dream of becoming a big leaguer.

Geelong’s Liam Spence has been taken by the Chicago Cubs with the 154th pick in the 2021 Major League Baseball Draft.
The 23-year-old infielder was named by the Cubs with their fifth round selection on Tuesday morning Australian time.
