An eight-run seventh inning has lifted Southern Mariners to a wild 15-8 win over Hills on the opening day of 2022 Australian Intermediate League Championship in Mildura.
The Mariners scored eight to break a tie and pull away to record a win in their opening game on diamond two.

Down to their last out, Manly rallied for a pair of runs in the seventh inning to tie the contest, before a Luke Donaghey sacrifice fly gave them the lead in extras.
