South Australia rode a strong offensive performance and eight strikeouts from Riley Yeatman to bronze at the 2020 U16 Australian Youth Championship in Geelong on Wednesday.
SA jumped out to a first-inning lead and denied a late Western Australia rally to win 5-3 and claim the state’s first U16 medal since 2016.

Jordan Hodges struck out seven as South Australia rode early runs to a 5-3 win over Western Australia in their U16 clash at the 2020 Australian Youth Championship on Sunday morning.
The SA starter impressed, allowing just two runs on four hits and three walks in 5 2/3 innings, and SA survived a late comeback by WA at Geelong Baseball Centre.

Western Australia has edged the Australian Capital Territory in a shootout at the 2020 U16 Australian Youth Championship at Geelong on Saturday.
The ACT jumped out to an early 6-1 but WA bounced back to record a 17-13 win on diamond four to improve t0 2-1 after dropping an earlier game to Country New South Wales.
