Victorian Jackson Boyd recorded the final nine outs of South Alabama Jaguars’ 12-2 win over UT Arlington Mavericks on Saturday morning to earn his third save of the season.
Boyd struck out one without allowing a hit in three scoreless innings at Stanky Field as the Jaguars improved to 13-3 on the campaign.

New South Welshman Travis Bazzana drove in three runs in his Oregon State University debut as the Beavers routed New Mexico 21-1 to open the NCAA Division I season.
The freshman went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks at Surprise Stadium in Arizona on Saturday morning (Australian time) as the Beavers put up their highest opening day score since 1960.

Victorian Jackson Boyd recorded a career-high eight strikeouts to complete South Alabama’s shutout win over New Orleans on Thursday afternoon.
Boyd took over from Miles Smith in the sixth and struck out eight of the 12 batters he faced to pick up his first win of the season in a 5-0 victory at Maestri Field.
