Dion Searle finished with 13 strikeouts as Taipans continued their perfect start to the Baseball Association Townsville season at Jabiru Park on Sunday.
Searle allowed two runs – both unearned – on two hits and four walks in 5 2/3 impressive innings as the Taipans powered past the Pirates 9-2.

Jarred Schell homered twice and finished with five RBIs to help propel Taipans to a 4-0 start to the Baseball Association Townsville season at Jabiru Park on Sunday.
Schell powered the offence and Curtis Greene and Dion Searle combined to allow just one run and four hits on the mound in an 8-1 win over the Mustangs.
