Thorpe dazzles in debut, becomes 34th Australian Big Leaguer
Lewis Thorpe’s MLB debut was cut short by Chicago rain this morning but not before the 34th Australian to appear in the big leagues collected seven strikeouts.
Thorpe impressed despite Minnesota suffering a 4-3 loss to the White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field, falling one strikeout shy of the Twins’ record in a debut game.
